Frothy Monkey Kenya Kamwangi AA
Introducing the newest addition to our single-origin lineup: a remarkable coffee from the Kamwangi community in south-central Kenya. For years, Kenyan coffee has been celebrated within the specialty coffee world, and this microlot is no exception. The unique terroir, rich volcanic soil, and the renowned double-washed process create a coffee that truly stands out.
Founded in 1983, the Kamwangi community is nestled in the Kirinyaga region on the slopes of Mount Kenya. The area’s red volcanic soil and high altitude are perfect for producing exceptional coffee. Kamwangi prioritizes sustainability and the well-being of its members, setting aside funds from each year’s harvest to provide pre-financing for education, farm inputs, and emergency needs.
We love this microlot for its dynamic flavors and complexity. Expect a delightful juicy acidity paired with a creamy, satisfying body. You’ll find tasting notes of Riesling, Orange Creamsicle, and Green Tea—a perfect reminder of why Kenyan coffee excites us with every new release.
